Electric Restoration Work Continues for Wisconsin Public Service Customers

Green Bay, WI – Crews working to restore power to Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) territory have reduced the number currently without power to just over 3,900 customers – down from a high of more than 21,000 customers after last evening's storms. The areas of restoration work are concentrated now on the Wabeno area, with about 1,400 customers still without electricity. Other areas currently experiencing outages are:

The restoration work will continue well into the early evening in an effort to get all customers restored as soon as possible. Customers and media with access to the Internet can track storm restoration efforts on the WPS website at www.wisconsinpublicservice.com. To access the information click on the "Report an Outage or Service Problem" icon in the lower right and then "View Current Electric Outages." Customers with a damaged service line to their residence may need to hire a local electrical contractor to repair their facility before WPS will be able to restore power.
