Power Out to 20,000 Wisconsin Public Service Customers

Green Bay, WI – Lightning, high winds and heavy rains have resulted in power outages to over 20,000 Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) customers. These outages are scattered through out the WPS service territory. The outages are the result of gusty winds, heavy rains and tree branches/limbs on power lines. As of 9:30 PM the largest power outages were located in the areas of:

WPS has called in all available line crews to assist these areas with electricity restoration. At this time no restoration times are available. Customer's power may not be restored until Thursday. Customers who can access the Internet can visit the WPS Web site www.wisconsinpublicservice.com to view outage information.

Storm Safety

Consider all downed power lines and anything touching them energized and DANGEROUS! Stay away from them and report problems and outages to WPS at 1-800-450-7240. Emergency calls should be directed to your area 911 operators.
